Laura Pineiro

Managing Director
 
Your local Southampton branch of Walfinch is owned by Managing Director, Laura Pego Pineiro.
 
Laura gained a name for herself at a young age in the Catering and Hospitality industry running the kitchens for several top-class establishments before opening her own restaurant. In later years, she moved over to working as a Chef Manager in local care homes. Laura always made sure that she went the extra mile to talk with and establish a personal rapport with the residents.
 
More recently, she has run the recruitment and administration for another local care company before joining Angela to launch the local Walfinch branch in Southampton.

Laura also engages with caring duties as she likes to be hands on. This allows her to train new professional care support team members and understand those who are in need of Walfinch’s assistance. It is important to remember why we are professional care supports in the first place- the human element is key for Walfinch Southampton.

Angela Harding

Director Registered Care Manager
Angela has worked in the care sector for over 22 years with extensive experience in community and residential/nursing homes.
 
She holds a Level 5 QCF in Leadership & Management, as well as being an End of Life & Dementia Champion. Angela is at present undertaking a Level 7 QCF in Senior Leadership and will complete this is 2025.
 
In a recent role, Angela achieved an Outstanding CQC rating in the Caring category and it is this continuing dedication that ensures Angela and her team deliver outstanding individual person-centred care to every single client who needs support in their own home.
 
Establishing and maintaining trusted relationships allows our clients to reach their own level of potential while maintaining independence in the safety of their own homes.
Angela empowers and motivates the team to become excellent professional care supports. The professional care team deliver outstanding care to our clients. Angela attended the first ever Leaders in Care Conference in London in September 2023 where she was on the panel discussing the retention and recruitment of carers. The conference was a discussion with other care providers on how to implement ground level changes in the absence of
Government changes and funding. 
 
Angela has also been on a mentoring course through Skills for Care and has been accepted to by Skills for Care to mentor other Registered Managers that may need support in a new job role.

Robin Boulter

Deputy Care Manager/Care Coordinator
 

Robin has previously worked with Angela and has a wealth of experience which is adding great value to our team. He has come into Walfinch with an infectious personality and a ton of Ideas.

“I have worked in the care industry for over 22 years and have a varied background in Brain Injuries, Dementia, Mental Health and Learning disabilities. I have experience as a Mental Health First Aider supporting colleagues and clients, being able to signpost them to health professionals. I have worked in partnership with many GPs, District Nurses, Client Advocates and lots of community-based projects”

Robin is also one of our trainers in Basic life support, Moving & Positioning and Skin integrity/Pressure sores, he is also hands on with the support visits when needed, this gives him a greater insight if the client’s needs have changed and also if the professional care support team need extra training.
