Shai Patel, Managing Director
I’m the proud owner of your local Walfinch Stratford & Leamington Spa branch, where I’m dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality home care services to families in my community. My journey has taken me through law, finance, and entrepreneurship, and each chapter has shaped the way I approach business—with integrity, empathy, and a strong focus on people.
After earning my law degree in the UK and I started my first business a ChipsAway franchise. I moved to New Zealand and built a successful financial advice practice, spending 17 years helping clients plan and protect their financial futures. Eventually, I made the heartfelt decision to return home to be closer to my aging parents.
That experience really opened my eyes to the importance—and sometimes the challenge—of finding quality care for loved ones.During my time in New Zealand, I also served as a board member for Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand—an experience that deepened my commitment to health-focused causes and the importance of community support during life’s most challenging moments.
It was one of the key reasons I chose to start a Walfinch homecare. It gave me the opportunity to blend my professional experience with my personal passion for making a difference in people’s lives. Now, I’m focused on helping families feel confident that their loved ones are in safe, respectful, and caring hands.
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family and travelling—both of which remind me of the value of connection, adventure, and making every moment count.
Belle Ward, Registered Manager
Having been born and raised in Warwickshire, I feel I have a deep connection to the
area and the people who live within it, so when the opportunity arose to work with the
Franchisee, Shai Patel, to bring exceptional care and support to the people within
the Warwick and Stratford districts, I didn’t hesitate to take the leap and accept the
Registered Manager position.
I have a strong background within health and social care, having worked within the
industry for the last 20 years in a multitude of settings from Dementia to Learning
Disability and from domiciliary practises through to care homes.
My passion lies in ensuring that all clients have a voice and are heard and listened to
as they are the masters of their own care and support. I have a love of training and
ensuring that our care family receives the best possible training to enable them to
fully support all of our clients.
Prior to joining Walfinch Stratford and Leamington Spa, I ran my own neurodiversity
training company working with all sectors from health and social care to education to
the justice system, to ensure that knowledge and understanding around Autism,
ADHD, Tourette’s Syndrome and other neurodiverse conditions were understood but
more importantly how to support those with the conditions in a person-centred and
bespoke way.
In my spare time I am usually found near a duck pond, feeding the ducks or, out
enjoying the beautiful countryside and coastlines that our country has to offer.
