Lyn Leagas
Director
Your local Hampton, Twickenham & Virginia Water branch of Walfinch is co owned by Lyn Leagas, Judith Spencer and Angela Pinto.
Lyn is extremely passionate about people. She has been in the service industry for over 30 years in both sales and management where she thrived in a client-focused environment with an emphasis on delivering excellent service.
Lyn has a patient, empathetic approach with open communication lines which has allowed her to develop successful teams who together have won many target and service awards.
Lyn started in the care industry 6 years ago where she worked for Christies Care as a live in carer, and then later on went into domiciliary with Home Instead during Covid, gaining valuable insight to understanding the needs of both carer and client.
Working for these companies was rewarding but she felt that she needed to immerse herself completely, so launched into her own branch of Walfinch where she loves to see the difference they make in providing care for elderly and vulnerable clients and their families in their own homes by delivering domiciliary and live-in care with compassion and confidence.
Lyn has one son who lives overseas, so loves her extended care family here in UK.
Angela Pinto
Director
With over 20 years of experience in client relationship management, recruitment, and
exceeding business targets, Angela is a dynamic leader in the domiciliary care
sector. Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care, Angela has a
proven track record of building strong teams, driving business growth, and ensuring
exceptional service delivery.
As a Director of Walfinch Hampton Twickenham and Virginia Water, Angela is
dedicated to recruiting and developing top-tier care professionals, fostering
meaningful relationships with clients, and continuously improving care standards to
meet the evolving needs of the community.
“Our team is passionate about delivering care with empathy and compassion to members of our local community”. Our leadership style is results-driven, with a strong emphasis on collaboration,
innovation, and maintaining a compassionate approach to care.
Beyond work, Angela is an active sports enthusiast, a keen runner, and a passionate
rugby fan, embracing the same discipline, teamwork, and resilience in both business
and personal pursuits.

From as far back as I can remember, I’ve always felt most at home around my elders. As a child, while many others were out playing, I’d choose to spend my school holidays with my nan. I loved listening to her stories, every detail, every memory, every glimpse into days gone by fascinated me. That love and respect for the older generation has been a guiding force throughout my life and has led me to where I am today.
After spending years in a corporate environment, mentoring, leading, and helping my team grow into some of the best years of their careers. I found myself being drawn towards something more personal and more meaningful. When the opportunity came to become one of the partners of Walfinch HTV, I knew it was the right path. It was a leap from corporate to care, but it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I now get to do what I truly love, care for people, make a difference, and be part of something that genuinely matters.
I’m lucky to share this journey with my fellow directors, who are also close friends and share the same passion for improving people’s lives. Together, we’re not just running a business, we’re building a community of care, empathy, and respect.
Outside of work, I’m someone who loves to tinker with my hands. I have what I like to call “green fingers,” and I say that with a smile. I find real peace in nature, whether that’s in the garden, by the sea, or surrounded by animals. I’m very much an outdoor person, from motor bikes to boats, I do them all, and I’m grateful that the child in me,the one who loved stories and quiet moments is still very much alive.
I truly love what I do. I love seeing the smile on our clients’ faces, and I make it a point to wear my own smile every day, no matter what. Caring isn’t just my job, it’s who I am.
