Meet The Team

Meet our friendly and dedicated team in Harrow & Brent

Shilpi Verma, Managing Director

Meet Shilpi, our Managing Director and Registered Manager, whose experience and commitment to person-centred customer care drive our mission forward.

With a successful career spanning 17 years in the banking sector, Shilpi honed her talents and beliefs in the importance of meeting customer needs. This foundation paved the way for her transition into the home care sector, where she saw an opportunity to apply her skills to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives during their times of need.

Driven by her passion for delivering the highest standards of customer care, Shilpi is dedicated to ensuring that every individual receives the support and assistance they deserve. Her business background and customer-focused approach shape the ethos of our branch, where meeting the needs of our clients is paramount.

Shilpi’s vibrant personality adds a special touch to our work environment, fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere for everyone at Walfinch Harrow and Brent.

Outside of work, Shilpi’s world revolves around her two daughters and husband. Family is at the heart of everything she does, and her dedication to both her professional and personal life is admirable.

As our Managing Director and Registered Manager, Shilpi’s vision and leadership are instrumental in driving our organisation forward. With her at the helm, Walfinch Harrow and Brent continues to flourish, providing exceptional care and support to our clients and their families.

Freya Massingham, Care Manager

Meet Freya, our dedicated Care Manager, whose journey in social care began, as a carer, when our branch first opened its doors. Since then, Freya’s dedication and commitment have propelled her through the ranks, culminating in her current role as Care Manager.

Freya had a seven-year career as a chef in prestigious 5-star hotels in London but switched to a role in Social Care during the Covid-19 Pandemic wanting to give back and make a positive impact in people’s lives.

Freya is continually advancing her skills and knowledge in social care. She holds a Level 3 Diploma in Adult Social Care and is currently working towards her Level 5 qualification, demonstrating her commitment to delivering the highest standards of care to our service users.

Freya’s dedication to making a difference extends beyond the workplace. She volunteers for a youth charity, where she passionately invests in the development and well-being of young individuals within the community.

Nita Patel, Recruitment Manager

Nita Patel is our Recruitment Manager and has been working with Walfinch for three years. She brings a wealth of experience with a person-centred focus after 35-year career in the banking sector.  Nita focuses on ensuring all our carers are fully compliant and ready to work with our wonderful clients. Nita supports our carers from the initial conversation all the way through their induction and onboarding process. In her spare time, Nita loves to craft and is often showcasing her work at local markets.

Vaibhavi Patel, Senior Carer

Vaibhavi is our Senior Carer. Having gained Bsc in Nursing from Charusat University and an Msc in Health Care Leadership from BPP University School of Nursing, her expertise and dedication shine through in every aspect of her role.

Joining the Walfinch family in July 2021, Vaibhavi quickly became an integral part of our team. Her primary responsibility is to collaborate closely with our carers, ensuring that our high standards are maintained in the field. A true people person, Vaibhavi thrives on building connections with both our carers and our clients, fostering an environment of trust and compassion.

In addition to her hands-on approach, Vaibhavi conducts regular supervision with our carers, prioritising not only their professional growth but also their emotional and well-being needs. Her caring nature extends beyond the surface, ensuring that everyone in our team feels supported and valued.

Vaibhavi’s commitment to excellence is further underscored by her completion of Train the Trainer qualifications. As our in-house training expert, she plays a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of carers, instilling in them the same values that define Walfinch.

Pooja Nimbekar, Admin Officer

Meet Pooja, Admin Officer at Walfinch. Pooja’s journey with us began in June 2021 and since then, she has been an invaluable member of our team.

Pooja wears many hats at Walfinch, transitioning between her roles as a carer and an office admin assistant. With over a decade of administrative experience, her diverse skill set and dedication make her an essential asset in ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities.

As our Admin Officer, Pooja takes charge of the rota, organising schedules to ensure that our clients receive the care they need when they need it. Her attention to detail ensures that our operations run efficiently.

In addition to her administrative responsibilities, Pooja also conducts spot checks on our carers out in the field. With a keen eye for quality, she ensures that our high standards of care are consistently met, providing peace of mind to both clients and their loved ones.
